Current Grantee FAQs

Yes, we are more than happy to adjust reporting deadlines. Please contact our grants manager in advance to update the deadline in our system.

  • Note: If you’re requesting an extension for a final report, please see the question about extending a grant term here.

Extending a grant term—also known as a no-cost extension—may require an amendment to your grant agreement. Please reach out to your program officer at least 30 days before your grant term is set to expire (when possible) to begin the amendment process.

  • Note: If you are only requesting additional time to submit the final report (not to continue work under the grant), an amendment is not required, but you should still notify your program officer 30 days in advance when possible.
  •  Details on submitting an amendment request are available here.

  • If you expect to have more than $1,000 in unspent funds: Contact your program officer at least 30 days before your grant term ends. We typically prefer to either extend the grant term or find other ways to use the funds on related work. This may require an amendment to your grant agreement.
  • If you expect to have $1,000 or less in unspent funds: You may release those funds to your general fund for unrestricted use, provided the expenses support postsecondary success in Texas. No prior approval or notification is required.

You can request these update through our grants manager.

If there are changes to the individuals overseeing the grant, executive leadership changes, or if you need to add users to the Grantee Portal, you can request updates by contacting our grants manager directly.
