Donations to support the educational needs of victims and their families impacted by the August 3rd tragedy

Round Rock, TX – Trellis Company (Trellis) and Trellis Foundation have donated a total of $50,000 to Paso del Norte Community Foundation in support of the El Paso Victims Relief Fund. Each entity donated $25,000. Specifically, the donations from the two organizations will go towards the CommUnity en Acción Fund for 8/3 Survivors’ Educational Needs, with the intent of supporting a wide-range of educational needs for victims and their families impacted by the August 3rd tragedy.

“Our hearts ache for the families of those lost or injured in this horrible event,” said Scott Giles, Trellis President and CEO. “As a Texas organization for forty years, we want to help ensure those most affected have financial support available for their future education needs.”

“From our collaborations in El Paso, we have long respected the strength and resilience of the educational leaders in the community, and we recognize the important role education can play in healing and recovery,” said Kristin Boyer, Trellis Foundation Executive Director.

Trellis is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has supported the El Paso community for many years through philanthropic efforts and services for higher education institutions in the region. Trellis Foundation, a separate 501(c)(3) organization, is currently supporting efforts to help students complete college in the El Paso region.
